Bead a pin for Orange Shirt Day

Tuesday, September 27th, 2022

1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Agora

Join us to create an Orange Shirt Day beaded pin. All materials will be provided.

On September 30th wear an orange shirt in the spirit of reconciliation and to honour Residential School survivors and all those impacted by Residential Schools.

Orange Shirt Day is a day set aside to honour residential school survivors and all those impacted by Residential Schools.  In the spirit of reconciliation, everyone is asked to wear an orange shirt on this day.

The idea for this day came from Phyllis (Jack) Webstad’s story of having her new orange shirt taken away from her on her first day of Residential School.

It is an opportunity for communities to come together to re-affirm their commitment to reconciliation.
