Get an early start on 2020: explore the use of peer-assessment to make the courses you teach even more valuable.

When our students leave our institutions they will enter a continually changing job market, and they will ultimately work in a number of different contexts before settling into a career. Yes, the courses we teach them will be valuable to them, but even more valuable are the transferable skills we help them develop; skills like critical and creative thought, and efficient two-way communication. How do we develop these skills well? And how do we know if our attempts to develop them are working?

In this webinar, Professor Steve Joordens, a 3M National Teaching Fellow from the University of Toronto, will highlight the challenge of equipping students with the skills needed for the work of tomorrow, and the potential of peerScholar powered peer-assessment to provide clear answers to these challenges. He will highlight a wide variety of approaches that combine with technology-enabled peer-assessment to deepen the pedagogical experience for students.

Date:  Friday, December 13, 2019
Time:  9  - 9:30 am EST (Toronto time)

Sign up today!

Can't make it?  Sign up anyway and we'll share the webinar video-recording with you by email.

NOTE: An online session on setting up PeerScholar activities will be offered on December 16th at 10:00 am.  Refer to the December 16th event post or visit the Teaching Commons events page to learn more and register.
