We invite you to celebrate with us on September 26th at 7 pm in the Faculty Lounge at Lakehead University. The CHCE Milestone Awards in Bioethics ceremony and the first Encounters in Bioethics session of the 2018-2019 season will take place. Our distinguished guest speaker, Dr. Bagheri will be addressing the topic of ethics consultations in a multicultural society. A reception will follow.
If you cannot attend on Sept 26th, Dr. Bagheri will also be presenting this topic on Sept 27th at noon at NOSM.
Awards to be Presented
The CHCE Milestone Award for Outstanding Service will be presented to J. Douglas Rabb, PhD. This award recognizes a member of CHCE who has advanced the mission and development of the CHCE in a lasting and significant way through extraordinary forms of volunteerism.
The CHCE Milestone Award for Bioethics Leadership will be presented to Alireza Bagheri, MD, PhD. This award recognizes an established bioethicist who has made an outstanding contribution to the discipline of Health Care Ethics through significant research, publications, educational and leadership endeavours.
