Transfer credit refers to the number of course equivalents that you may be awarded towards your Lakehead degree based on previous (accredited) post-secondary studies at the college level.

Before referring to the amount of credit, please read the following eligibility requirements.

Transfer Credit Eligibility:

  1. College transfer students who have completed their certificate or diploma, or who have partially completed their diploma, are eligible for transfer credit.
    1. Certificates are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Their content cannot be equivalent to high school upgrading.
  2. Only academic courses completed at an accredited college are eligible for transfer credit consideration.
  3. Only academic courses with a minimum grade of 70% will be considered for transfer.
    1. Courses with grades less than 70% will not be transferred.
  4. The amount of transfer credit received depends on a number of factors, including but not limited to: previous grades, course content, and the program applied to at Lakehead University.
