OGS / SSHRC Proposal Writing Workshop
The Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) and Social Sciences and Humanities Council (SSHRC) Scholarship workshop is open to undergraduate and graduate students in the social sciences and humanities who will be enrolled in graduate school next year (2021-22). The scholarships do have specific limitations and credentials listed below; they offer significant funding based on a student's academic achievement and ability to propose a research project.
* Canadian citizens or permanent residents (both).
* International students on visas (OGS).
* Students with “first class average” in last two years, as determined by university (SSHRC).
* A- (80%) the last two years (OGS).
* Students planning research or creative projects. Practicum and course work can apply, but at a disadvantage (SSHRC).
* Applicants must be enrolled, or intend to pursue full-time graduate studies at the masters or doctoral level in an approved graduate program.
* Applicants must not already have been awarded the scholarship.
