Nancy Luckai
Dr. Luckai began her career at Lakehead just over 40 years ago when she enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Forestry degree.
As a member of the Faculty of Natural Resources Management, she developed the Forest Resources and Soil Testing laboratory and served as Chair of the Honours Bachelor of Environmental Management program. In 2012, she received her 30-year service recognition.
Dr. Luckai has been a member of Senate, was appointed to the Quality Assurance sub-committee of Senate Academic and Chairs Lakehead University's Animal Care Committee. She is an active researcher and a peer reviewer for publications and funding proposals in forest ecology.
Her administrative responsibilities reflect her commitment to curriculum and program development as well as analytical capacity building.
At the invitation of the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, she is currently serving in her second term as a member of the Provincial Forest Technical Committee.
