All members of the Lakehead University community have the right to study, work, and live free from sexual and gender-based violence and harassment.
All forms of sexual and gender-based violence against any member of the Lakehead University community are a violation of the University’s Sexual and Gender-based Violence Response Policy
Sexual and gender-based violence or harassment means any sexual act or act targeting a person’s sexuality, gender identity or gender expression, whether the act is physical or psychological in nature, that is committed, threatened or attempted against a person without the person’s consent, and includes sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, indecent exposure, voyeurism and sexual exploitation.
An incident of sexual and gender-based violence or harassment includes cyber-harassment and cyber-stalking on Lakehead University platforms (i.e. email, social media, etc.).
How to Report
If you have experienced an incident of sexual and gender-based violence, you can:
Report the incident to the OHRE in person, by phone, or by email, contact us or report the incident to the OHRE on the Lakehead University Mobile Safety App
