Ross Osmun, piano
Originally from Windsor Ontario, Ross Osmun has performed extensively in Southwestern Ontario and across Canada as recitalist and accompanist. Important national and international performances include recitals in Banff, Alberta, London, Thunder Bay, Toronto and Waterloo, Ontario, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Sherbrooke, Quebec, Detroit and Ann Arbor, Michigan, Washington D.C., Eugene, Oregon, New York City, St. Petersburg, Russia and Paris, France.
Ross Osmun's degrees include an A.R.C.T. in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, Bachelor Degrees in Music, Science and Education from the University of Windsor as well as a Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Performance and Literature from the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. His principle teachers include Dr. E. G. Butler at the University of Windsor and Professor Barry Snyder at the Eastman School of Music.
Currently an Associate Professor of Music at Bishop's University in Sherbrooke Quebec, Dr. Osmun is also an active chamber musician,
lecturer and festival adjudicator. In 2003, he was recorded and broadcast on CBC Radio-Canada with Winnipeg-born soprano Melinda Enns. Before arriving at Bishop's, Dr. Osmun held teaching positions at the Eastman School of Music and the University of Prince Edward Island.
