Ross Osmun, piano
Originally from Windsor Ontario, Ross Osmun has performed extensively in Southwestern Ontario and across Canada as recitalist and accompanist.  Important national and international performances include recitals in Banff, Alberta, London, Thunder Bay, Toronto and Waterloo, Ontario, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Sherbrooke, Quebec, Detroit and Ann Arbor, Michigan, Washington D.C., Eugene, Oregon, New York City, St. Petersburg, Russia and Paris, France.

Ross Osmun's degrees include an A.R.C.T. in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, Bachelor Degrees in Music, Science and Education from the University of Windsor as well as a Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Performance and Literature from the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. His principle teachers include Dr. E. G. Butler at the University of Windsor and Professor Barry Snyder at the Eastman School of Music.
 
Currently an Associate Professor of Music at Bishop's University in Sherbrooke Quebec, Dr. Osmun is also an active chamber musician, lecturer and festival adjudicator. In 2003, he was recorded and broadcast on CBC Radio-Canada with Winnipeg-born soprano Melinda Enns.  Before arriving at Bishop's, Dr. Osmun held teaching positions at the Eastman School of Music and the University of Prince Edward Island.

Su Jeon, piano
2007 Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition Winner

Born in Korea, Su Jeon grew up in Germany and Japan.  She began studies at the Juilliard School in 1998, eventually receiving a Bachelor’s and a Master’s while studying with Julian Martin.  In 2006 she completed an Artist Diploma at The Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory in Toronto as a student of Marc Durand.  A participant in masterclasses with John Perry, Lee Kum Sing, Robert McDonald and Leon Fleisher, she has also studied chamber music with Emanuel Ax, Pamela Frank, Jerome Lowenthal, Peter Longworth, and Jacob Lateiner.  Su has been awarded many scholarships including the 2001 Van Cliburn Scholarship and the Susan W. Rose Scholarship from 2002 to 2004 at Juilliard; and the Alma Cockburn Memorial, Cindi Calder, and Myrtle Nefsky Scholarships at the Royal Conservatory.  She has attended the Aspen Music Festival, Tanglewood (the youngest pianist invited as a fellow in 2001), Orford, and the Banff Centre Keyboard Festival.

A winner of the Nakamichi Piano Concerto Competition at Aspen, Su was also a Laureate at the 2001 Gina Bachauer Int’l Piano Competition, and a finalist at the 2002 Artist Int’l Auditions in New York.  In 2004 alone, she was a finalist at the NASO Young Artist Competition in New York, winner of the Hart House Orchestra Concerto Competition, and winner of the Arlington Philharmonic Young Artist Competition.  Most recently she placed 4th and was awarded â€"best performance of a Canadian work” at the 2006 Int’l Stepping Stone Competition.  Su has performed many recitals in England, Holland, Austria, Spain, New York, Massachusetts, Banff, and Ontario, with recent concerts for the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series in Chicago and at the Phillips Collection in Washington DC.  She has collaborated and played chamber music in Holland, New York, Seoul, and Toronto, as well as on the Arcturus Chamber Series at Harvard, in a number of recitals at Tanglewood, and with the New Music Ensemble at the Glenn Gould School.  Her concerto appearances include performances with the Aspen Concert Orchestra, the New Juilliard Ensemble, the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra, the Asturias New Millennium Orchestra (Spain), the Banff Festival Orchestra, and the Univ. of Toronto Hart House Orchestra.  Su Jeon is currently working on a doctorate at l’Université de Montréal where she studies with Marc Durand and Maneli Pirzadeh.
