Natalia Mirzoeva, piano
Natalia Mirzoeva was born in Russia into a family of musicians, and began studying piano at the age of six. At a young age, she participated in regional, national, and international competitions. She obtained a Diploma at the International Competition for Young Pianist in Sweden, 1994 and was awarded the third prize at the 21st Century Art Piano Competition in Italy, 2001.
In 2003, she moved to Canada to continue her studies in piano performance at Université de Montréal where she obtained a Doctorate in Piano Performance in 2010.
During her educational process, she worked under supervision of Paul Stewart, Jean Saulnier, and Andre Laplante. In the past few years, she has presented recitals in numerous cities in Canada, Russia, Italy, and Austria.
Currently, Natalia works as an accompanist at Université de Montréal and teaches piano at Pierre Laport Academy of Music.
