Dr. Katrina Younes will explore the pressing human rights concerns surrounding deepfakes and facial recognition technology (FRT). This discussion focuses on how these technologies disproportionately affect marginalized groups, particularly women, and the implications for/of human rights law. The talk explains some of the underlying biases in AI systems and the urgent need for equitable digital policies at the international level. Come and engage with pressing issues shaping our digital future!
