ERC Synergy Grants

The annual call is open for ERC Synergy Grants (DEADLINE 6 November 2024, 17:00 Brussels time) .  Synergy grants are for teams of two to four PIs working together with different skills and resources working collaboratively to solve a research problem that demonstrably cannot be solved by one researcher alone.  Synergy Grants can be up to a maximum of €10 million for up to 6 years, plus an additional €4 million for start up costs and/or equipment, access to major facilities, and/or experimental/fieldwork costs.

Please note that Synergy grants are not part of Pillar 2 of the Horizon Europe program, so for this program, Canada is not considered an associated country.  However, the program permits one PI to be from a third-party country and to receive funds.
