The Ontario Agri-Food Research Initiative (OAFRI) offers funding to stimulate innovation to support the growth and competitiveness of Ontario’s agri-food sector, promote food safety and strengthen rural communities. For more details, visit the OAFRI webpage.

There are four open intake streams of funding that support unique activities across the innovation continuum. Proposals must align with the research priorities identified in their individual guidelines.

2. Pilot and demonstration (submission deadline: January 13, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST)
3. Knowledge translation and transfer (KTT) (submission deadline: January 13, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST)
4. Commercialization (delivered by Bioenterprise) (submission deadline: December 4, 2024 at 11:59 PM EST)
