About the Talk: Since their inception, universities have been considered not only educational but also research institutions with the mission to create and disseminate various forms of theoretical and practical knowledge. However, many stakeholders including industry professionals have questioned the practical impact of management research.

In his work, Dr. Serenko explores channels through which academic knowledge reaches industry practitioners and offers solutions.

About the Speaker:  Dr. Serenko’s research interests pertain to scientometrics, knowledge management, and technology addiction. Alexander has published over 70 articles in refereed journals, including MIS Quarterly, European Journal of Information Systems, Information & Management, Communications of the ACM, and Journal of Knowledge Management. He has also won six Best Paper awards at Canadian and international conferences.
