Dr. Jinqiang Hou
Dr. Hou earned a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry at the Sun Yat-sen University in 2012. He further received postdoctoral training at the University of South Australia, the London Health Sciences Centre and Western University. Before joining Lakehead University, he worked as a research scientist at Toronto Research Chemicals.
Dr. Hou's research has focused on the development of radio-labelled chemical entities for the potential use in the imaging of various diseases using Positron Emission Tomography (PET), and the discovery of drug molecules targeting disease-relevant targets through computational molecular design, organic synthesis and molecular biology. The longer-term goal of his research is contributing to the integration of PET imaging into drug discovery.
