Dr. Ikki's research interests are in the design, modelling and performance analysis of wireless communication systems with current emphasis on Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO), diversity techniques, spatial modulation techniques, cognitive radio systems, cooperative communication systems, dual and multi-hop networks, physical-layer security, large-scale MIMO systems, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications, green communications systems and networks, small cell/heterogeneous networks, channel estimation, coding theory and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing and hardware impairments.
