Course-Based MSc Project
Dr. Pearson’s research program is health promotion oriented with a focus on behaviour modification, lifestyle psychology, and theoretically grounded, motivation-based interventions. Specifically, projects centre around: 1) community-based programs for children, youth, and families; 2) evaluating the utility of Co-Active coaching/motivational interviewing as strategies to promote health and wellness in at-risk populations; and 3) identifying, developing, and implementing avenues to optimize dimensions of wellness among those in various sectors. Integral to Dr. Pearson’s research is the opportunity to collaborate with community-based organizations and local stakeholders to create asset-focused, participant informed projects.
