Presentation: "‘We will treat you as we did with the Armenians’: Cemal Pasha, Zionism and the Evacuation of Jaffa, April 1917"

The Department of History presents Dr. Roberto Mazza, Western Illinois University, who will give a free public presentation entitled  "‘We will treat you as we did with the Armenians’: Cemal Pasha, Zionism and the Evacuation of Jaffa, April 1917." 

Speaker Bio: Dr. Roberto Mazza is an Assistant Professor History at Western Illinois University. He is the author of Jerusalem: From the Ottomans to the British (2009) and co-editor of Jerusalem in World War One: the Palestine Diary of a European Diplomat (2011). Dr. Mazza holds a PhD from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, a MSc in International Relations from Italy’s Bolgona University, and and MA in Government and Politics of the Middle East from SOAS.
