Undergraduate History Programs
The Department of History offers many options in undergraduate programs for students at the Thunder Bay Campus, Orillia Campus, and Online studies.
At the Thunder Bay Campus, students can take a standard 3-year Bachelor of Arts (History Major) and a 4-year Honours Bachelor of Arts (History Major). We offer a number of combined programs that can be taken with English, French, Gender and Women's Studies, Philosophy, Political Science, and Sociology. Additionally there is a joint BA (History) / HBOR with the School of Outdoor Recreation. The department is active in history programming for Concurrent Education Programs where students can obtain a BA or HBA in History while working towards their program Education degree.
At the Orillia Campus, students can take a standard 3-year Bachelor of Arts (History Major) a 4-year Honours Bachelor of Arts (History Major). We also offer a combined program with English as well as Concurrent Education Programs where students can obtain a BA or BA in History while working towards their BEd degree.
Students can complete a minor in History as part of any program at either Campus in all programs.
You can elect to learn and study completely online through our 3-year Bachelor of Arts (History Major).
