Lakehead University, Orillia Campus, invites applications for a Contract Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science. Applications are requested to teach:

Computer Science 2476 WAO- Introduction to Assembly Language and Operating Systems (with Lab)

Assembly-level machine organization. Memory system organization and architecture. Writing simple I/O routines and interrupt handlers. Introduction to initialization and process management in a Unix or Unix-like operating system.

Start Date/Duration:   January 6, 2025 – April 12, 2025

     Tuesdays 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Start Date/Duration for Lab:   January 6, 2025 – April 12, 2025

     Tuesdays 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Qualifications Preferred:  MSc with teaching experience or preferable PhD. Experience with experiential learning and online or alternative modes of delivery is highly desired.
