Josh completed his PhD at the University of Waterloo in the School of Public Health and Health Systems in 2013. After receiving his doctorate, he went on to complete an Alzheimer Society of Canada fellowship and a Canadian Consortium for Neurodegeneration in Aging fellowship with the Geriatric Medicine Research group at Dalhousie University.  His postdoctoral work focused on epidemiological studies on frailty and cognitive decline in older adults.  Josh has advanced skills in quantitative data analysis, and an interdisciplinary background that includes gerontology, epidemiology, biostatistics and data mining, health care systems, health measurement scales, neurocognitive disorders, and population health.
