Dr. El-Gendy’s research interests revolve around exploring and implementing innovative materials and technologies and assessing their performance in various structural elements to achieve resilient and sustainable infrastructure. Current research projects include the following:
- Applications of FRP composite materials in reinforcing and strengthening concrete structures.
- Seismic performance of reinforced concrete structures.
- Reinforced concrete structures subjected to elevated temperatures.
