Research Interests:
Kang Kang’s research focuses heavily on developing economically efficient and environmentally friendly biomass conversion technologies and biomass-based catalytic materials that could be used to promote sustainability.

- Thermochemical conversion of lignin and other biomass wastes into value-added chemicals and fuels
- Development of biomass-based catalytic materials for energy and environmental applications
- Catalytic thermochemical conversion of solid wastes
