Personal Profile
I earned my Biochemistry Degree at the University of Guelph and chose a Carbohydrate Chemistry project for my Honours Thesis. However, because I was very interested in Microbiology by my fourth year, I moved to Thunder Bay, and earned a Masters Degree from Lakehead in Biology (Environmental Microbiology project).
I am currently the lab instructor/coordinator for Introductory Human Physiology 2030, Genetics 2171 Biology of Microorganisms 2711, Animal Physiology: Animal Communication and Control Systems I 3250, Animal Physiology: Organ System Operation and Regulation 3251, and Food Microbiology 4770. I am also involved in maintaining equipment, helping out with school visits, plus I am the Health and Safety Representative for the Department and sit on the Labs and Studios Joint Health and Safety Committee and the Biosafety Committee. I have at times been a contract lecturer for the Life Systems Module of Topics in Science 1000.
Outside of the University I enjoy reading, cooking, snowshoeing, skiing, gardening, hunting, raising some animals, and spending time with my wife and family.
