Scott McCormack

Mr. McCormack worked as a sole practitioner in Thunder Bay for a number of years, and also taught Business Law and Communications at Conferedaration as a sessional lecturer. At Lakehead University he served as the University Ombudsperson from 2008 until early 2017, where he drew on his background in law, education, and conflict resolution. He also served as the Faculty of Law's Interim Director of Student Services and Skills from March to July of 2017, and Joined the Facutly of Law as Operations Advisor in January of 2018.
Scott is an active community leader and has served on the Board of Directors of Hospice Northwest, the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay, and Magnus Theatre. He was recognized by the City of Thunder Bay with a Citizen of Exceptional Achievement Award for his work with Magnus Theatre, which spanned a decade, and included seven years as President. He is currently the Chair of the Board of Hospice Northwest, where he has served as a Board member for ten years.
