Jason Lisi

Jason comes to Lakehead from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) where he is Executive Director of the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) and an Associate Professor in the School of Graphic Communications Management (GCM). Jason joined TMU in 2001 as a contract lecturer and later joined its professoriate in 2003.

As Executive Director of CELT, he works closely with the Vice-Provost Academic to provide strategic vision across the Centre, as well as with the directors of CELT's six units (Academic Integrity, Curriculum Quality Assurance, Digital Learning, Digital Media Projects, Experiential Learning, and Teaching Development) to promote and advance teaching and learning excellence across TMU.

Before becoming CELT's Executive Director, Jason has served TMU as Director of Curriculum Quality Assurance, Chair of the School of Graphic Communications Management, and the inaugural Director for the Print Media Research Centre. During his tenure as Director of Curriculum Quality Assurance, Jason co-chaired the Academic Standards Subcommittee of Senate and led the renewal of TMU's four Senate Policies that form its Institutional Quality Assurance Process (IQAP) to align with the Quality Council's updated Quality Assurance Framework.

In addition to looking forward to joining our Lakehead University community, Jason is also keen to continue nurturing his passion for outdoor activities and deepening his connections with family in Thunder Bay.
