Current Position: Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair, University of Ottawa

After ORPT I moved to New Zealand for two years where I completed a Masters. After leaving New Zealand I solo traveled through southeast Asia and Europe for a year before heading back to Canada and working for Outward Bound Canada. I remember feeling stressed about money and finding a ‘real job’ - but now that I have a real job with a pension I look back and am so glad I spent the money and the time traveling. The world is an amazing place and seeing other countries and other cultures is an amazing opportunity. If everyone has the chance to really experience other cultures and places there would probably be a lot more kindness in the world. Travel after you graduate. You won’t regret it!
