Our Programs

Students have several options to tailor their learning in our many Undergraduate program options. Upon completing our 4-year program, students earn an Honours Bachelor of Outdoor Recreation.

Double-degree Options

Two students peering through the hole of a quinzheeIn addition, ORPT students have a unique opportunity to complete a double degree. 

Students can pair their Honours Bachelor of Outdoor Recreation with a Bachelor Arts in Geography, History, or Gender and Women’s Studies in a four-year period.  

Another 4-year program option is an Honours Bachelor of Outdoor Recreation with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science (Biology).  

Concurrent Education is also a popular option, allowing students to complete an Honours Bachelor of Outdoor Recreation degree and a Bachelor of Education degree (Primary/Junior or Intermediate/Senior) with direct access to the two-year professional Education program (6 years total).

Concentration in Nature-Based Therapeutic Recreation

Two students on sit-skisA Concentration in Nature-Based Therapeutic Recreation is another opportunity for students to further specialize their Outdoor Recreation, Parks and Tourism degree by taking courses that focus on Specialized and Inclusive Therapeutic Recreation, Adventure Therapy as well as a suite of courses in Psychology.
