I grew up in Dundas, Ontario and moved to Thunder Bay in 1983. I graduated from Mohawk College in 1977 and started my nursing career at the Hamilton General Hospital as a burn nurse, intensive care nurse and nurse educator. My area of nursing expertise is in critical care and wounds.
I initially joined Lakehead University School of Nursing as a clinical instructor in 2004 on the medical/surgical units at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center teaching third year nursing students. I have taught in both the clinical skills labs and assessment labs. I am now an Assistant Professor co-teaching fourth year Leadership with Michelle Spadoni. I am also the faculty lead for N4502 a fourth year clinical course.
